a bit of new years magic.

My new year was less than ideal but I chose to make the best of it!
I learned the secret to taking of taking fireworks photos back in 2007--- it turned out to be a great skill!!
In all the outdoor pictures I used manual focus and the M setting on my NIKON D3100.
Plus, I did a little self portrait in the mirror then used an editing program to switch it around so it wasn't mirrored.
Ah technology :)
I think my favorite photo is the one of my brother David (vertical pic) with the sparkler. The colors came out so unique and the focus is so crisp. I love it!

getting started!

I'm doing a senior shoot tomorrow- I'm super excited!!
I'm glad to finally be getting serious about my photography...my Passion!
I figure, if I say I wanna be a photographer, I better actually move on it :)
